The Magnum FORCE Stage 1 intake system replaces the stock air box and the stock air filter for noticeable improvement in airflow and power. By retaining the stock intake arm, there are no issues with mass air flow sensors or check engine lights.
Features

Block out hot engine air:
You’ll immediately notice the top quality 16-gauge powder coated steel heat shielding that is trim sealed to keep heat away from the air filter, resulting in cooler air flow into the engine. Cooler air is more dense, allowing for more horsepower and torque.
Stock Mounting Points: By using stock mounting points, there is no need to drill or fabricate anything at all, making installation or removal simple, even for an amateur!
Custom High Flow Washable Filter w/ Velocity Stack: This washable filter is the last filter you’ll ever have to buy. One of the special characteristics of our filters is the full or modified velocity stack. This allows the air to curve around the edge of the filter and enter the intake tract without loss of velocity, resulting in more power. We have conducted tests where there is more airflow with a full-velocity stack filter than with a straight tube and no filter.
With the installation of a Magnum FORCE Stage 1 intake system, you are removing the most restrictive part of the stock air intake system: the air filter and air box. You will feel an immediate improvement in acceleration and throttle response.

The part number for this item is 51-10911 or 54-10911 (depending on whether you choose they dry or the oiled filter) and it fits 2006-2008 Honda Ridgeline 3.5 models.
AFE Intake Systems are available with two different kinds of filters: Dry and Oiled. The Oiled filter is a K&N Style filter. It is a pleated filter that features 5 layers of filtration. It allows for significantly more air flow than OE air filters. The filtration rate on oiled filters is over 98%. Oiled filters need to be cleaned periodically (every 10-20k miles, depending on the conditions you drive in)

The Dry filter (AFE Pro Dry S) is an oiless filter that can be cleaned with a shop vac, which makes cleaning much easier than the oiled filter. The filtration on the dry filters is over 99%, so they are slightly more efficient in terms of filtration.

There is no difference in horsepower or torque between the wet and dry filters.

We recommend the dry filter over the oiled filter due to its ease of cleaning and slightly better filtration. Also, with a dry filter you don't risk fouling your mass air flow sensor by overoiling an oiled filter.
